Arguably the best ski resort in the world, Courchevel 1850 offers a whirlwind of glamorous adventures to keep all the glitterati happy, from its Michelin-starred restaurants, to buzzing bars, wild nightclubs and fantastic shopping. Beyond its astounding après ski scene, Courchevel also offers superb skiing for every level, owed to its 3 Valleys ski range, pristine slopes and fantastic facilities. These include 63 ski lifts, 117 downhill ski runs and an abundance of off-piste escapades to explore.
After gallivanting down the slopes all day, a drink is in order and that’s where Courchevel 1850’s après ski scene comes in. Here’s a round up of top five spots to enjoy:
For après-ski drinks whilst rubbing shoulders with the jet set, head to Le Denali restaurant at the Grandes Alpes Private Hotel. Le Denali is located on the slopes in the heart of the village and can be easily reached by foot or skis. For those skiing from Bellecote, Verdons or La Loze, this spot is en route. Its convenient location makes Le Denali a popular spot to meet up with friends at the end of the day. It’s a great place to have a drink on the terrace while soaking up the last rays of sun or alternatively relax indoors on the cosy sofas.
Le Cap Horn
For VIP après ski where guests are encouraged to dance on the tables with their ski boots on, head to Le Cap Horn, adjacent to the Pralong piste. This restaurant is located at 2000 metres and does excellent seafood, with a 380-strong wine list and private rooms. In addition, Le Cap Horn often has a live DJ. This is a great place to head if you want to have some fun whilst catching the final bit of sun on the terrace.
